Frequently Asked Questions-

How many treatments will I need?

Most clients benefit from a series of 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. The exact number depends on your skin concerns and goals.

Is microneedling painful?

We apply a topical numbing cream before treatment to ensure your comfort. Most clients report minimal discomfort, describing it as a mild prickling sensation.

When will I see results?

You may notice an immediate glow, but significant results develop over time as collagen production increases. Optimal results typically appear 4-6 weeks after treatment.

What is the downtime ?

Make needing downtime is minimal, usually 1 to 3 days of redness, swelling, and sensitivity. Most people can recover within 48 hours after the treatment. Some people may not even have any redness right after the session. It varies person to person.

Can I get microneedling if I'm using acne or anti-aging medications?

If you're currently using medications like Accutane (Isotretinoin), Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinol, or active exfoliating products (AHAs, BHAs), you'll need to pause them before your appointment.

Here's a general guide:

  • Accutane: You must be off Accutane for at least 6 months before microneedling due to delayea wound healing.

  • Tretinoin or Retinol: Stop usage 5-7 days prior to your treatment to avoid excess sensitivity.

  • AHAS/BHAs (e.g. glycolic acid, salicylic acid):
    Discontinue 3-5 days before.

  • Antibiotics or other prescription topicals: Please inform us during your consultation, as some may increase sensitivity or interfere with healing.

Always consult your prescribing dermatologist and let us know about any medications or skin treatments you're using so we can ensure the safest and most effective microneedling experience for you.
